Factory Tour

The goal is sustainability.

Sustainable use of natural resources; sustainable job development; sustainable manufacturing; and sustainable economic growth.

In May 2014, we built our own open air eco-factory

We're located on the northeast corner of the island, where the sun and tradewinds dry the fibers naturally.  We collect rainwater from our roof for the water needed to make paper.

We use no chemicals to bleach or whiten our papers.

To create archival quality paper, one must boil the fibers in a soda ash solution which goes into our grey-water tank to be neutralized prior to re-entering the soil.

The sun dries our papers on handmade frames.

We use only water based inks that adhere amazingly well to banana fiber.

At Green Banana Paper we are a team

We're working hard to produce world-class quality products and innovative uses of our sustainable natural resources.
